      I have always been a member of some lending library be it in chennai or vellore(near CMC).I am not a very crazy fast book-reader, but i do read,in a much slower pace whenever I have my time.After moving to Gandhi nagar west,viruthampet ,  I was not able to find a basic library with English books.Whomever i enquired, were only  aware of the ones in vellore and in particular, the one in Gandhi Road,opposite CMC.I used to be a member there myself, during my college days.But going all the way to Gandhi road to just borrow a book wasn't a good idea in opinion.And so I started looking for some library to borrow English books around this area.People were advising me to buy books online and I was even directed to the Book Store on top of the supermarket MORE.But spending about 300 to 400 Rs to just read and finish with a book and not give a second look at it after Reading....I didn't like the idea at all!!
     While i was on the lookout for some basic library with English fiction books,I came across this Lending Library(G.M.S Lending library) on the way to my work place near E.B Bus stop. It is a very small Library, and it is hard to even recognize it as a library,as it is among a group of small shops.Though the place is very small and a bit dusty and not so well organized,I really don't mind it as long as I get to borrow some fiction books.The Library has a big collection of English books,Tamil books, Magazines and is famous among the middle aged to the elderly population who are fond Tamil book readers.
      It is only a surprise that none of the younger population were aware of such a lending library.So whoever is looking for a basic lending library, I totally recommend this place to the book lovers in Gandhi Nagar Area.
  The membership price is Rs 200 (refundable on closing down membership)and the borrowing price is Rs 2 for two days and after that Rs 1 will be added per day till you return the book.It really works out cheap even if you want to have it for a month as there is no return(due) date for it.

Have you heard about the Globus 2 showroom in vellore but have not visited because you have not heard much about it from others??.Here is what i have to say about that shop.When the showroom was established i wondered how such a big shop could be open in vellore,considering people who would'nt want to spent much on such an expensively priced stuff in the shop.The shop itself is located on the first floor on the right side when you walk in through the main entrance.I have visited the show room about a year ago and was fascinated by the accessories and the vast expanse of the showroom.But the price of those accessories were too high for my budget. As i am always on the look out for good stuff with a good deal,less expensive,so i gave up on the showroom promising myself not to visit it again.On and off i have found discount banners outside the showroom but never visited the shop. Recently after december around christmas time 2014, I kept seeing the banner for 50% flat off, so i was tempted to walk into the showroom as it was on the way to my beauty parlour. When i walked in i was amazed at such an awesome discount of all the stuff that the shop had to offer.specially it was the discount on the accessories.i learnt from the sales girl that it was a end of season clearance sale and that when we purchase 5 or more accessories it would be 80% offer from the MRP. I was so thrilled and could'nt help picking up loads of accessories from the shop.i had to pay only about Rs20/- per piece but their actual cost was around Rs 250/- and 300/-all those stuff were too good ,the quality is awesome.i would suggest you to visit the shop whenever offer banner is put out of the shop.Specially the clearance sale is amazing!!!
